Advantive Cloud Operations

SMS Alerts Program

Optional text messages that notify Cloud Operations engineers of high-priority production incidents while they are on call.

About this program

Advantive Cloud Operations provides an optional SMS alerts program for members of our internal on-call roster. When you opt in, you may receive short operational text messages about production incidents so you can respond in Microsoft Teams.

Sender: Advantive Cloud Operations

Audience: Advantive Cloud Operations engineers who complete opt-in

Purpose: Transactional on-call incident notifications only

Not included: Marketing, advertising, promotions, or sales outreach

Message frequency: Varies with production incidents; often few or none in a given week

How to opt in

SMS alerts are voluntary. You will not receive program messages until you complete every step below. Being employed by Advantive or listed on an on-call roster does not enroll you automatically.

  1. You must be an Advantive Cloud Operations engineer on the company’s internal on-call roster.
  2. Open a one-to-one Microsoft Teams chat with the official Advantive Ops-Agent bot.
  3. Request SMS on-call alerts and provide your mobile number with country code.

    Example: “Update my on-call phone number to +1 555 123 4567.”

  4. Call to action / consent: The bot will restate your number and ask you to confirm. Reply yes or confirm to consent. Confirmation is required; consent is not pre-selected.
  5. After you confirm, Advantive saves your number for this program and sends one confirmation text that SMS alerts are active.
By confirming, you agree to receive Advantive Cloud Operations on-call SMS alerts at the number you provided. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help.

How to opt out

After you opt out, you will not receive further program messages until you complete the opt-in steps again.
